Design Concept:

When researching the AvenirNext typeface, there were two dates that were crucial to the launch of the font. 1988 was the year in which the initial Avenir typeface was released.  Sixteen years later, in 2004 AvenirNext was finished. In the early 2000s was when Tesla came into existence, bringing a a clean style to the world. The overall theme utilized is one of a minimal/clean aesthetic. Along with incorporating geometric patterns while maintaining a design theme of Swiss International. These can work cohesively together because Swiss allows for negative space and has a simple color palette but leaves room for a little abstraction. This all connects to AvenirNext as it has a clean, almost futuristic font style - exactly what Tesla strives to achieve.

The client in mind was designers, no particular age range. Just anyone who actively designs and needs an almost futuristic/modern typeface. The objective was to convey Adrian Frutiger's typeface, AvenirNext in a way that would make a designer want to include it in any of their work. To essentially prove that this typeface is modern and interactive but has a flare of its own. When it came to this, it was definitely a challenge as how to approach this mentality.  AvenirNext is a unique typeface so pairing it with a theme that is clean, futuristic, and modern would make it appear as so. Knowing this, Tesla was the most fitting subject. The company is very minimal within itself, so there wouldn't be too many elements that needed to be incorporated within the actual design. This would bring a focus to the elements within the typeface but also work cohesively with the Tesla style. The hardest challenge was to ensure the that everything was aligned correctly and intriguing to read. This was achieved by adding visually stimulating content (various Tesla models depicted).
